Recommended for reducing and/or sulfur atmospheres; the maximum temperature on the heating element must be 950°C. This alloy is used in furnaces that operate in reducing atmospheres between 815°C and 925°C without the occurrence of preferential chromium oxidation. It is generally used in high load rheostats (up to 815°C) and less demanding household appliances.
