The Brazilian government stimulates the production of sugar and alcohol. Among the measures designed to increase competitiveness and investment capacity in the sector, a few are noteworthy, such as tax incentives and even the addition of anhydrous ethanol in gasoline, which increased from 20% to 25% (source: planalto.gov.br). Prepared for the new demands and with great experience in the segment, Villares Metals manufactures forged and treated parts weighting up to 36 tons, which can be used in mill shafts, cutters and rods, as well as items for gearboxes and gears used in power plants.
The material is supplied according to the customer's request: with a finishing that can go from raw forging, through pre-machining (with 5mm radius) to parts nearly or completely finished. The desired type of steel can also be chosen: carbon or engineering steel. Among the products offered by the company to the sugar and ethanol industry, the following are noteworthy: VT35FO, VT45FO, VL40FO, VM40FO (for milling shafts), N6587FO, VL40FO, VT45FO, VM50FO, VM40FO e N7139FO (for reducers).
Milling shafts
Depending on the shape of the part, shafts can be up to 36 t, raw forged, pre-machined to 5 mm in radius, nearly finished or finished. Furthermore, they may consist of carbon steel and engineering steels, for use in milling shafts, cutters and rods used in sugar and alcohol plants. It is also possible to produce other components, such as pinion gears.
Reduction gearing
It is absolutely possible to manufacture parts for reduction gearing/multipliers - preformed shafts; forged, treated and pre-machined discs and rings - made of engineering steels This is due to the fact that, when subjected to heat or thermochemical treatment, the material's surface layer is hardened. Remember that these parts are suitable for gearing applications, as well as drive and output shafts, used in applications related to sugar and alcohol (mills), power generation, rail/subway, shipbuilding, steel making and agricultural implements.
