Maraging Steel

VART100QA (AMS 6532)

Steel with good toughness in high levels of mechanical resistance after aging. Components subject to elevated stress and toughness in aircrafts and rockets.

VART250

The main feature of 18%Ni maraging steels is good tensile and toughness properties for various levels of resistance. The number accompanying the steel name matches its Theoretical Yield Strength at 0.2% strain in ksi. This unique characteristic is achieved by precipitation hardening, in a tough martensitic die, after a simple aging heat treatment. Used in a wide range of applications, such as racing cars, aerospace and military sectors, as well as in springs and tools.

VART250QA (MIL-S-46850)

Steel with good toughness in high levels of mechanical resistance after aging. Components subject to elevated stress and toughness in aircrafts and rockets.

VART300

Basically, VART300 is similar to VART250. However, as it is higher in Ti and Co, VART300 has increased mechanical strength.

VART300QA (MIL-S-46850 / AMS 6514)

Steel with good ductility at elevated levels of mechanical resistance after aging. Components subject to very high stress in aircrafts and engine jackets for satellite launch vehicles (SLV).

VART350

Similar to VART300, but higher in Ti and Co, further increasing its mechanical strength.
