ESR 6 Grand Opening

Late february, we celebrated the official grand opening of our sixth ESR furnace (electro-slag remelting). Designed to meet our primary commitment with safety and equipped with cutting edge technology, the ESR#6 project counts with over 57 thousand worked hours.

The event brought together our #SteelTeam and we welcomed to the stage the ones who that outstood during the project, discussed the market and reflected on our 50-year journey since the installation of the company’s first ESR.

voestalpine HUB Inauguration

March has started with the inauguration of voestalpine HUB, a collaborative space that aims do promote synergy among Villares Metals and other voestalpine Group companies: Aços Böhler-Uddeholm do Brasil, voestalpine Meincol and voestalpine group-it Brasil.

We now have a complete space with state-of-the-art technology for trainings, meetings and gatherings. All of this surronded by an incredible natural landscape that makes Villares Metals not only a producer of special steel and specialty alloys, but also a place of unique beauty.

First Good Practices Fair

To close (or start 2024!) on a high note, on March 5th we held the first Good Practices Fair where our team presented their improvement projects implemented in the past year, based on the VM3 methodology (Villares Metals Manufacturing Model).

Besides expanding knowledge, the event also acknowledged our talents and promoted teamwork and collaboration among the areas, reinforcing our constant pursuit for excellence.
