Stainless Steels
In addition to having good corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, machinability is also prized by stainless steel consumers. In order to meet this requirement with mastery, Villares Metals has developed a product line called USIFAC, meaning Machinability Facilitated.
There are various types of stainless steel, among them: austenitic, duplex and superduplex, precipitation-hardenable (PH) and martensitic. They can be delivered as bars (flat, square and round) and also as wire rod.
As they have high corrosion resistance and excellent machinibility, its major consumers are chemical and petrochemical, food and beverage, and machinery and equipment industries. They are also used in implants and surgical instruments, valves and damper rods, cutlery, shafts, welding electrodes, bolts and nuts.
