Safety first

Safety first is one of Villares Metals’ main values and is present in the daily lives of all our employees. After all, it is impossible to offer quality products and solutions without taking into account the need for protection and care in preventing accidents to our people.

At Villares Metals, safety is always linked to three pillars:

• safe conditions for a safe working environment
• safe and modern equipment
• procedures and trained people, to reinforce the importance of the employee’s own attitude in ensuring their safety by complying with the rules.

We invest daily in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), rigorous processes, management systems, campaigns, training and machine protection. We also reinforce the issue of safety in the cultural field, so that our employees also put it first before carrying out any activity.

One example of our safety programs is Safe Behavior, in which the employee is observed and evaluated while carrying out their activity, to confirm that they are complying with the procedure and that their behavior is safe. Feedback is given, pointing out the need to adjust a certain action – if negative – and reinforcing continuity in the operating mode, if positive.

Certifications

Certification is a way of showing and strengthening the management system that takes care of safety within the company. It proves that the process is rigorous, sustainable and strong. This is in line with the growing demand from clients, who are now choosing to work only with suppliers who consider the issue to be essential.
