On the 19th, Villares Metals, a benchmark in speciality steel and alloy solutions, planted 350 native tree saplings in Sumaré, the town where it is located.
To symbolise this renewal, 80 #TimeDeAço employees took part in the action, including 18 to 21-year-olds from the Formare apprentice programme, which prepares students for the job market, and employees celebrating their anniversary between 2023 and 2024 (10, 20, 30 and 40 years).s).
The event took place at the ADC (Class Sports Association) Villares Metals Club, a company employee club created to promote outdoor leisure time. The action is directly linked to Villares Metals’ values: we make a better world and we value people.
Planting trees, especially urban reforestation, is an efficient way of combating climate change, promoting quality of life, well-being and stress reduction. Employees came together to carry out a positive action for the city and the environment, revitalising leisure spaces and contributing to future preservation. The planting took place after the renovation of the club’s communal areas.
